Hitotoki trips typically range from USD 1,000 to 2,500 per person per day, excluding international flights — the price of a journey designed from scratch by a Japan-based team, operated with private guides and vehicles, and supported on the ground from your first step in Japan to your last. What Shapes the Price
No two Hitotoki journeys cost the same, because no two are the same. Within the range, four factors do most of the work:
- Season — cherry blossom (March–April) and autumn foliage (October–November) are Japan's peak seasons, when the finest rooms and guides are in highest demand and secured furthest ahead.
- Accommodation level — from refined luxury hotels to ryokans with private open-air baths, the tier you choose is the single largest variable in any quote.
- Exclusivity of experiences — a guided market walk and a privately arranged encounter with an artisan or a temple sit at different points of the range.
- Trip length and pace — longer journeys spread fixed costs and often lower the per-day figure; a slower pace with fewer hotel changes does the same.

Our team in Japan designs a detailed, day-by-day proposal around you, with a complete quote. We refine it together until every day feels right.
A 30% deposit confirms the booking, and we begin securing your accommodations, guides, and experiences. Payment by major credit card or wire transfer.
The remaining balance is due 45 days before departure. From then on, everything is in place — your documents, your contacts in Japan, and a team on the ground for the whole journey.
